* Control-Space

This key combination may seem difficult to press. However, if you swap the fn and control keys in System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard -> Modifier Keys, and press the new control key with your palm, it will be much easier.

* F8 (or similar keys) and trigger F8 by pressing command key alone via Karabiner-Elements

Karabiner-Elements is “a powerful and stable keyboard customizer for macOS”. By configuring Karabiner-Elements, you can add functions to the command key: when command is pressed while other keys are pressed, the function remains the same, but only the command key is pressed and released, triggering the F8 key.

• Install Karabiner-Elements,
• then install the modification
• and enable the rule “Post f8 if left_command is pressed alone”.
